Sometimes Gabbi fantasizes about being a vegetable farmer and/or archeologist, but for now she’s fine with making funky illustrations about gardening, ancient matriarchies, and misfit dinosaurs. In 2017 she won the Eisner Scholar Award for her comic about a manic-depressive cat-flower girl and her pothead dinosaur roommate. When she’s not writing comics, she’s stitching overly ambitious embroidery projects, which are usually based on her interests in art history and the natural sciences. She lives across the street from a nice park with her mean tabby cat, mustachioed boyfriend, and her 25+ piece collection of plants.
